In 1968 composer Morton Subotnick, following the success of his pioneering electronic music album “Silver Apples of the Moon,” released “The Wild Bull”, another electronic masterpiece that continues to inspire me to this day. This piece is inspired by that in particular, but created not with a synthesizer per se, but by just whistling and singing, and then using effects provided in the Hokusai 2 iPhone app to add additional frequencies, pitch shift, ring modulation, and delay.
